How is the east side of town near Columbia Regional Hospital? I am trying to get a feel for the different areas of town before visiting. I also saw some apartments on the north end along I-70...thoughts about that area? Thank you in advance!

The area near Columbia Regional airport.............there are some nice area's and some spotty area's, but it does not appear to be a high crime area. Mostly a nice & peaceful area.
The area along I-70.........be careful of the hideous traffic jam at the I-70 & 63 interchange. It can be a real disaster during your normal rush hours.
However, anywhere in Columbia is not a far travel. You can be just about anywhere within 15-20 minutes or less (within Columbia).

Near the Regional Hospital is mostly residential. It's a very nice 'older' area. Lots of tree's and pretty scenery. There are a few condo/townhomes out that way and a few duplexes as well. I am not sure about the duplexed area as far as crime rate, but I don't recall hearing a lot on the news about that area.
Remember, you can always call the Columbia Police Department for any questions about crime rates in town. If it's in the county you would need to call the Sheriff's Department for that information.
