Default relocating to STL - Wash. Univ. area

Hi all,

I was hoping to get some general information about the area around Washington University in STL that I won't find on the chamber of commerce or city sites, etc. I'm looking to take a job there beginning in August. I grew up in the midwest, so I know about the weather and most of the tourist attractions in STL, but wanted to get a local perspective, both good and bad. Thanks.

St. Louis is wonderful. That college is one of the most beautiful ones I've ever seen. My husband looked into getting his MBA there. It's beautiful. It's next to Forrest Park, which we absolutely love to go running or walking or biking or even canoeing. Very nice area. Not extremely downtown, but close enough to drive to Cardinal game or whatnot!
