I bought a 2013 Lancer 5 speed manual new. I absolutely love this car, it now has 57000 miles with zero problems. I replaced the original Yokohamas with Firestone tires, and decided to test cold tire pressures from 28 to 36 psi. The car calls for 36. Ride quality is superb at 32 psi. The rear suspension is rough over bumps at 28 or 30, and the low pressure warning comes on at 28 psi.
It does make me wonder how careful car reviewers are to set tire pressure before they test cars. For my long commute, I prize ride quality over gas mileage or tire wear. Still get 35 mpg on my mostly, although not entirely, highway drive.
