Anyone ever heard of her? She is a kickass judo player (bronze in the last Olympics) who just turned pro MMA fighter. She wants Cris Cyborg next year.

The sky is the limit for this lady, I am glad you made this thread about her. By next year, I don't know if she is ready for Cyborg. Her Judo and grappling credentials are a threat without question but she should just stack up some more wins (and more convincingly, the better) for us MMA fans to make a final judgement because it's simply too early to tell right now if she's ready for the cream of the crop in the women's division. Before she even calls out Cyborg, I would like to see her take on Gina Carano and another very good grappler/wrestler in Meisha "takedown" Tate (that would probably be a GREAT ground fight, wrestler vs Judo player). You never know what can happen though!

I never even learnt the kata strikes - that's how important they are these days.

The fact that she is probably not ready for Cyborg might make her an even better fighter. Yes, I'd like to see her fight Carano beforehand. But the mid-level fighters she is going to be up against if she has a slow climb will not even challenge her. She is the daughter of America's only female world judo champion, and I think she is a truly special fighter.

She's really a great athlete and fighter. I think she will be on top for a while.
