I'm sure their expenses are high for trainers, dieticians, nutritionists, lawyers, etc.

Boxing seems to be more of a mainstream sport than MMA, boxing is much more established and I imagine PPV buy rates are probably higher along with what they can charge for advertising.

Just a few thoughts, though.

This is what it is. Senior management/owners are pocketing a larger chunk of profits for themselves.

Damn Dana White and Oscar de la Hoya have about the same networth. Even though Oscar is far more popular.

I think there are a couple things to consider...

Time: Boxng has been around WAYYYY longer.

Culture: Today everyone "trains UFC" or can or even wants to. With that many people willing to throw down, everyone is far more easily replaceable. People put their kids into "MMA" programs. some even compete. ( i don't agree with this at all) .

Media: Witt social media, and fighting on FFOX, people are desensitized to 2 people willingly doing this crap. they have a fight to watch almost every week, they are taking a WWE approach to promotion and even girls can do it now. lol

I could be wrong but I think the evolution of both spots and society has a lot to do with it. Apart form the hitting, you can't really compare the 2.
