I felt like the first round was pretty competitive and it could have gone either way on the score card. Justin seemed to be keeping his distance the same way he did against Tony.
I was disappointed in how it ended - even if Justin was going to lose, I would have rather seen it happen in the 4th or 5th, not the second. Still, Khabib is something special and the moment he and Justin had after the fight was beautiful.
Now, what's next? If Khabib is truly retired, then someone is going to have to get the belt. Maybe the UFC could have a tournament to see who gets the belt? Invite the top 8 to fight and by the end of next year, we have a new light weight champion. What do you think?

I reckon a tournament is what MUST be done, it is the best way to bring that "big time" feel to the belt. They've done it before, it can be done again.
I thought Justin Gaetche could have really gave Khabib the toughest fight of his life and even perhaps pick Khabib apart. However, Gaetje (however you spell his last name) sort of disappointed me. He's usually one of the more fearless fighters but even he caved into Khabibs RELENTLESS pressure. And it's not taking anything away from Khabib, in fact I've learned not to bet against Khabib.
The thing is though, if you have some seen some of Khabibs fights, some fighters have had big moments in their fights with Khabib (Connor, Dustin and even Justin) but eventually they all fall to the IMMENSE and RELENTLESS pressure that Khabib puts on them. Yes, Khabib is freaky strong, very skilled on the ground but I think among all those things his pressure is what defeats his opponents mentally and eventually physically. They know exactly what he is going to do but they all panic once Khabib gets a hold of them.
I feel that Khabib will truly be retired, unlike other fighters who just say that to garner attention and then get hype for their return. If he does return, I wonder what's his next move?

I still feel that Khabib shouldn't retire until he faces Tony Ferguson. Even though Justin beat Tony, I'd still argue that Tony is the better all around fighter than Justin. Sure, Justin might be able to keep up with a Conor McGregor, it's clear his Jiu Jitsu needs some work. I don't think Tony would have been submitted quite the same way Justin was.
