Hopefully we'll get some responses before the event tomorrow.

For something a little different this time. I'll post the match, as well as the odds from a popular online sportsbook. For those that might not understand, the odds with a "-" indicate that fighter is the favorite. You would have to bet whatever the amount is to win $100. The odds accompanied by a "+" indicate that fighters is the underdog. The amount listed is how much you would win if you bet $100.

i.e. You would have to bet $241 on Chuck Liddell to win $100. Conversely, You would win $230 by putting $100 on Rashad, given that your bet obviously wins.

MAIN CARD

Chuck Liddell (-241) vs. Rashad Evans (+230)
prediction: Liddell unanimous decision
analysis: Honestly, I think this will be a snoozefest. Chuck is a counter fighter and Rashad is consistenty boring. I don't think Rashad should be listed at +230, but I don't like the odds enough to bet on him either.

Rich Franklin (-221) vs. Matt Hamill (+210)
prediction: Franklin 30-27 on all three judges scorecards
analysis: Matt's standup is rudimentary and I don't think he'll be able to take down Rich effectively and keep him there. Many people are putting money on him, but I think that's an unwise bet.

Dan Henderson (-200) vs. Rousimar Palhares (+190)
prediction: Palhares submission rd.2
analysis: Despite his wrestling pedigree, Henderson gets taken down quite frequently. I don't think he can avoid the lightning-fast subs of "Toquihno." This is a fight I would definitely put some money on, especially at these odds.

Karo Parisyan (-210) vs. Yoshiyuki Yoshida (+203)
prediction: Yoshida 29-28 on all three scorecards
analysis: I think Yoshida will be too much for the decision-prone Parisyan. In fact, I would bet heavily on this fight at these odds. If I were to bet, I'd put about 40-60% of my total wager on Yoshida.

Nate Marquardt (-130) vs. Martin Kampmann (+140)
prediction: Marquqardt 29-28 UD
analysis: Probably the best fight on the main card. I would look for anything surprising here, but I think it'll be an entertaining fight.

UNDERCARD

Thiago Tavares (-252) vs. Kurt Pellegrino (+250)
prediction: Pellegrino 29-28
analysis: A bet on Pellegrino would be my biggest on. I can't believe these odds! This will be fight on the night. Both guys always bring it!

Tim Boetsch (-375) vs. Michael Patt (+326)
????

Dong Hyun Kim (-350) vs. Matt Brown (+300)
???

Jason MacDonald (-157) vs. Jason Lambert (+160)
prediction: MacDonald TKO rd. 2 (strikes from the mount ala Rashad)
analysis: MacDonald is coming off a loss in a losing effort against Maia. Lambert is moving down in weight, but I don't think it'll make much difference. It'll be an entertaining fight.

Ryo Chonan (-113) vs. Roan Carneiro (+103)
The odds are right on this one. Too close to call.

If I had $1,000 to bet on this event, I'd put $400 on Yoshida (+203), $300 on Pellegrino (+250), and $200 on Palhares (+190). From what I hear, a LOT of money is coming in on Pellegrino.

this is not a good card

I think rashard will lay n pray to victory over chuck

If I bet $241 on chuck will I get the $241 on top of the $100 if chuck wins, or no?

I think it's going to be a fairly decent card, but you might be right. I think it just depends on the way a couple of the fights go.

I was actually thinking of this as well. Then, I realized Chuck has made his career from knocking out wrestlers. While I'm not sure he's going to KO "Sugar," I think he'll get the "W."

Yes, that's correct. You'll get your wagered $100 plus your $241 in winnings.

I meant to say you'll get your wagered $241 plus your $100 in winnings.

There is a feature on the UFC website where you can look up all the bars nationwide that have purchased rights to the event. I couldn't find it though for some reason. A general rule of thumb is that is there is a Buffalo Wild Wings or Hooters nearby they will be showing. Most decent sized sports bars show it. Maybe even somewhere like Dave & Busters as well?

Default ufc

did you win a bet? Chuck was way to slow, he rushed himself. Good job by Rashad.
