MMA needs its own forum as much as Roller Derby does. What a joke.

New note to moderator:

all posts about MMA should be summarily deleted.

I agree with the "combat sports" notion. The bitter, old boxing farts can contain their MMA hatred there.

Default MMA forum

why would it bother anyone if there is a MMA forum? I dont get it? If you dont enjoy MMA simply do not enter that forum.

^^^

because then we would have to put up a subforum for fishing, skating, ping pong, boxing, wrestling, golf

it is not one of the big four, so it is not necessary, or else we would have to fair to every sport out there

it was only a suggestion. i used to post on another message board where i suggested an automotive forum. that idea was shot down due to a percieved lack of interest. as you may know, the automotive forum on this message board is very successful.

but you are probably right, that given the demographic here, it may not be necessary. but it is the fastest growing sport in the world, so it might do better than expected. i personally dont follow any other sports.

and as an MMA afficionado and former ameteur wrestler, the descriptions laid forth by Alexus were, to me, not only closed-minded and ignorant, but also pretty damned offensive.

Rest assured that the Administrator of City Data keeps a very close eye on the traffic numbers of all forums, and is always considering new sub-forums when numbers warrant.

MMA has a certain popularity, but I would sya it has a way to go before it requires a seperate forum of its own.
