Here's some info and a demonstration of 52 Hand Blocks or 52 Blocks. It's a style of streefighting developed in the New York area on the streets and jails. 52 is one of the styles that's under the umbrella term Jailhouse Rock styles.
Anybody have a video of a real street fight using this style? Has anybody went into MMA with this style? I never heard of it.
You should try to get in touch with some NYC people that grew up in the 70's and 80's. This method of fighting was popular with streetfighters back then. This style of fighting is also popular with guys in jail and prison. Talk to someone who's been on Rikers Island.
I spent plenty of time in Brooklyn, seen tons of street fights there, same on long island, never heard of that style though, have friends that went to Rikers too. Maybe i did see that style in action but just didnt know it had a name/style to it. Since its so popular i would love to see it in action, if so popular these fights must have been caught on tape.
