I used to think he was kind of an ass based on his pre-fight and in-fight antics, but I've warmed up to him during TUF 10. He seems like a solid guy who legitimately cares about coaching his team.
On a side note, it seems that the Rashad/Rampage feud is a little scripted.

Jesus! are you serious? that's all you're able to come up with? the scripted, forced, and mutual phony heat between Rashad and Rampage?
FOLKS...
FOLKS...
this is precisely what i'm talking about. so many people say that they dont like Rashad Evans; they say that he's a real jerk; but they cannot articulate reasons why. the best answer i've heard is because he bobbed his head like a ****in' idiot in his first ever televised fight. but, look at how much he's improved and acheived since then. so, Gplex, i respect your posts in general on the subject of MMA, but in this case your answer was a joke.
ya know who i dont like? Josh Neer. that guy seems like a jerk. he's a great fighter, but to me, he seems like the kinda guy who might go looking for a bar fight on ocassion. and i have seen him ungracious in defeat, and judging by his demeanor, i'm not at all suprised. plus, i ****in' hate people who have their last name tattooed across their back.

If it is scripted, then I take it all back and drop back to the indifferent position before I started watching season 10.
But if he is like that, then I don't like him. In season 10 outside of the actual fighting and training, he acts like a loud mouth idiotic child.

I definately respected Rashad supporting Jackson's fighter after he lost, when Jackson was off sulking in the corner. I would easily rather have Rashad as a coach.

I liked Rashad before, and I respect him even more now that he's shown what kind of a coach and person he is on TUF-10. I think some people are a bit too sensitive about a little show-boating. Hell, no one show-boated more than Ali, yet he's the most revered fighter ever. As for "how Rashad talks to Rampage" on the show...please. I like Rampage--he's an entertaining character--but he's finally getting some of his own medicine for a change. I think it's funny that Rashad can push his buttons so easily.

We all must remember as well, that they edit out all of the parts that they don't want you to see. I was thinking that maybe Dana had it edited that way to make Rampage look like more of a jerk since he is leaving UFC

very true.
we where talking to sam hogar about a yr ago or so (remember same as the guy ho took all the extra shirts and hats and things on season one. was portrayed as a thief). he was telling us all about how they would goat you into things, or how they would take things that where "controversial" and edit it to make it worse/better. he was saying something about that is how they treated junie browning as well.
as for rashad, sure he was a nice guy/good coach for checking on the other team, and rampage was a prick for not. the thing is, i see him as the type of guy who will take something and "run with it" to make himself look good. ie the other teams fighters. notice how he spent 15 minutes talking about how bad it was of rampage and how he and his coaches really care? rampage is playing the heel, rashad (like all greg jackson fighters aka danas boys)are the heroes. thats the bottom line.
