A few days ago me and some friends decided to buy a package for a ski resort in TN called Ober. On the site we seen they use snow fans/guns. We thought, could it be possible to do this in Mobile, problems
- we have no hills
- the temperature/humidity
- nobody has equipment
Theres even some resorts inside, that stay open year long.

If it was developed, manufactured dirt hills with snow, it could stay open from
Nov-Mar or Dec-Feb/Mar or if inside, all year long. This, we think, would attract people from all over, Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, Pensacola, Biloxi, New Orleans, Houston and more...

This is just thought/fun idea because of all the eco development thought people might want something to do they never did and have the money to do it.

Mobile is on the water and doesn't even have decent waterfront for people to enjoy. I'd start there first for any recreational development.

I agree on that but I was just asking to see what people thought on it.

There is a ski resort in Mentone in N. AL. I am not sure but they have to make their own snow most years. It isn't real big or so I have heard. i think most folks want real 'mountains' and the scenery that goes along with it. Personally I think they do need to take advantage of the water front.

You can ski in North Alabama right now. Truly a couple of days ago it probably would work. I have never seen this much snow in Alabama.
