Need help with Mount Vernon, AL genealogy
I am so glad I found this thread on City Data! After an exhausting search I've realized that my genealogy tree has roots right in Mt Vernon, AL. I've been able to find out some good info from Ancestry.com and FamilySearch.org but now I'm at a standstill.

Mobile county does have a lot of info online such as marriage licenses. don't remember how far back it goes though
