I need a refresher on the laws in Alabama regarding minors to work in convenience stores that sell alcohol and tobacco.

I was under the impression that no one under the age of 21 was supposed to sell tobacco or alcohol products. But my current employer has a minor working in one of their stores and says its perfectly okay as long as there is someone older than 21 there with him. I know this is true in grocery stores, but is it true in convenience stores?

I have scoured the web and came up with no answers to this question. IF it is illegal, should I contact the ABC board or the police?

Thoroughly confused here. Can some one clarify for me?
Thanks in advance!

Yep, I worked in a convenience store when I was 18, and I was always supposed to have someone over 21 there with me. Of course, many times this other person was a work release inmate and wasn't even allowed to touch the register. Not sure if that part was legal or not.
