Hello everyone,

My boyfriend and I have our 1year anniversary coming up and will probably go out to dinner and I was just wondering if anyone has any good suggestions on a nice place for this occasion? It don't have to be a cheap cheap place but I definatly wouldn't feel comfortable spending 100$ to eat. I love Italian food but we are just looking for a nice place (no screaming kids, bad service, etc.). I know theres a Carrabbas and a Macaroni Grill but i dont know about that for this occasion. and it doesnt have to be Italian either just somewhere nice. Also are there any nice reasonably priced activities to do also? We enjoy movies, wine tasting, sight seeing just about anything. How is bellingrath this time of year? Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

If you enjoy seafood, Felix's by the battleship is very good and has a great view.

Default Great restaurant P'cola Beach

If you're willing to drive an hour or so, The Grand Marlin on the bridge to Pensacola Beach is outstanding. The ambience is elegant but unstuffy, the service attentive and knowledgeable, and they serve only the freshest seafood (and thus print a new menu each day!) Unbelievably, their prices are considerably less than many restaurants which are nowhere near as good. It is the best restaurant we've been to in a while.

Felix's is always a good choice. Their food is excellent, service is good and you may even get seated by a window for a great view of the bay.

If you want a romantic Italian dinner, though, I'd recommend Via Emilia near the university. The food is great, and it's a small place so not crowded or loud. It isn't cheap, but two can eat well for under $100.

Haven't been to Guido's in Daphne, but the one in midtown Mobile was pretty good before it closed.

Café Royal in the Van Antwerp building downtown is worth considering. And they have a
musician playing the harp!

I second this, but, on Valentine's Day, dinner for 2 would probably be north of $100. Regular days, tab would be ~60 or more, depending on what you ordered.
