Greetings,
My family will be traveling thru Mobile from Jackson, Ms. We will arrive late evening then get up early to visit the Battleship then continue on with our trip. I was hoping to get a local's help on what hotel would be recommended. Since we are only going to be there for a quick night stay, I don't want to pay too much but I want a safe area for the family.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!!

There is a hotel right next to the battleship...Best Western Battleship Inn. Never stayed there, but know people who have and they liked it.

There seem to be several rated highly, according to a popular travel adivsor site.

Have a great time!

There's a Comfort Suites in Daphne just a few miles from the Battleship that is nice.

Downtown, there is the Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn, Radisson Admiral Semmes Hotel, Renaissance Riverview Plaza, Battle House, Ramada.

But, if you don't stay downtown, there is a Marriot out by the malls and some other places. If you stayed in Daphne, you would kind of back track, but not by much. And yes, there is also the place right there at the Battleship and a connected restaurant, too- John Word's.

A word of caution, though. Don't stay at the Budgett Inn. It is terrible.

Default Thanks!

Thanks for all the repies. I'll most likely do some price compare to the downtown hotels and choose one of them. Just trying to pay $$$$ for a hotel that we'll arrive @ 11:00PM and checkout @7:00AM.

In Japan they have hotels where those are roughly the check in/out times, but they are called love hotels. I guess that's a different topic though.
