Default Possible Walmart or Neighborhood Market being built on Airport

I noticed land being cleared out between Warren Village apartments and Providence Hospital. People where speculating it to be a wal-mart. So I checked the revenue commission and found out that the land was just bought by Wal-Mart Stores East LP.

So I guess there will be a new Wal-mart Neighborhood Market because I don't think it is big enough for a super center. The land is like 6-7 acres.

That's really stupid! Now why in the hell would they do that for I hope one of them shut down. There is a super on Schillinger, and which is like 3 miles within the site then another neighborhood store on Hillcrest which is another 2 miles down the road in the other direction. My hatred for Wally World is growing.

Years ago, Walmart did announce plans to build a store near the intersection of Hillcrest and Airport.

Yeah I thought about that, back in 2007. But now they are clearing it out, so guessing they are going to build in near future.

Just talked to the workers and they said it is going to be a Wal-mart Super Center, not a neighborhood market. Now the question is, what are they going to do with Schillinger?

Burton Property Group, owners of Westwood Plaza and Schillinger Town Center want to double the size of those developments. Perhaps the supercenter will be a site for expansion.

More than likely, the city will have just another Wal-Mart.

There were ideas of building a Sam's Club out that way years ago.
