More schools in Mobile and Baldwin counties are receiving recognition from the state for students' high performance on standardized tests.
The A-Plus Education Foundation in Montgomery released a list of hundreds of well-performing schools throughout Alabama this week. The list includes 49 schools in Mobile County and 40 in Baldwin County.
Nineteen of the schools are the same ones that appeared on a list of 47 local schools that received a combined $1 million from the Alabama Department of Education in September.
