I wish they'd come up here to Atmore at the I-65 exit.

This is great! Adds to the diversity of things available here in Foley. I've been to two of the Mobile locations, and when it's chicken time, this is in my top two. (The best, in my NSHO, is Champy's over in Daphne). Now if someone good would take over the old Chappy's on 59....

Ronrutmr2,

I'm hoping you can enlighten me on this. We have our house for sale in Indiana and looking at the Foley area. We've been there many times with friends who live on golf courses. We're not so much golf course or subdivision dwellers since we've been farmers all our lives. We are looking at a couple of acres just outside Foley to build but here's my concern. Don't laugh. I hate snakes! I've read some posts that it doesn't matter if you're near water or not, you have trouble with rattlers and water moccasins (near water). A couple posts say they can't let their kids or pets out from early evening on because of the snakes and they've "lost" pets. I can't believe that the snakes are that big of an issue because more people would be saying so. I just need additional input from someone actually living in the area. Our friends have seen a couple in the 8 years they've been there but they also say they can't leave their garage doors up too long because of snakes and they live at Glen Lakes away from the water. Can you give me your honest opinion please. We have small dogs and grandchildren and I just don't want to have to worry all the time. We do have the normal small garden snakes here and rattlers in the heavily wooded area but I can walk out in my yard at any time of the day or night and not worry. We are downsizing and giving up our acreage and just want the scoop. Thank you.

I work one day a week at Glenlakes golf course, and when I was a course marshal, I saw maybe three snakes total, all water moccasins. I live about 10 miles from the course, and I've seen two snakes in three years, neither poisonous. These snakes (at the house) are hunting the little tree frogs that accumulate around our windows, who in turn are attracted by the bugs that are attracted by the lights. As far as I'm concerned, snakes are not an issue. Hope this helps!

Default Not so many snakes

I am fairly new to Foley myself, but my son in law has been here for some time.

The only area he mentions having a lot of snakes is going east towards Ft Morgan area.
