Mobile is a fine,old southern city & as such, there is the part outsiders see & the part outsiders don't. You are simply a zip code ending in 08 or not. Moderator cut: flamming I lived Near Saraland and gangs from Mobile broke into my house. I know where they were from because they were caught. You need to go see what it has become.

I would like to see what was cut out by a moderator - those parts are usually entertaining . However, you cannot use one personal experience to judge an entire city. That is like getting randomly mugged in New York and using that to infer outward that all of New York is horrible.

You hit the nail on the head. Things happen everywhere and no matter where it happens it sucks, but you can't judge an entire place by a few undesireable areas. We just moved into our beautiful new house here in Loxley, which I really like. I'm sure there might be a section or two I wouldn't want to go wandering thru just like any other city. Just gotta be smart and use a little common sense.
