Hi everyone,
I know this question can have a very wide range of possibilities, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

What are the average utility bills for a home in Spanish Fort or Daphne for a single-family home that is around 2100 sq.ft.?

I'm trying to gather as much information as I can to be prepared for a possible move from Tulsa, Oklahoma. We're from Huntsville, Alabama, but have been living in Oklahoma for a couple of years. We're ready to move back to Alabama for our kids sake; two active boys, 10 & 9; heavy into football & baseball. I grew up with some family in the west Mobile area so I have always loved the region. Based on months of research and discussions with friends and family, I isolated my preferred areas to Spanish Fort, Daphne, & Fairhope, with priority being in that order.

Thanks for any input from anyone, good or bad

G

We are also looking at the Daphne/Fairhope area and I would be very interested to see what answers you get.

We have a 2546 sq ft home, all one floor, metal roof and our average utilities run around $250. The winter bill gets a bit high, right over 300 and same in mid summer...but other months get to very low 200k. We run the AC and heather all the time. We live in Fairhope(downtown) and love it! Hope this answered your questions. Good luck with your move.

Man! You mean you run heather all the time. She must be tired. Just what the post said.

Kidding, Thank you. I appreciate your response. It helps me to try and budget.

We're looking forward to the move; nervous, but looking forward to it.

Oops! Old and tired eyes.

BTW, the city will be building a super soccer field just south of downtown Fairhope. We also have great baseball and football facilities. Our city has a lot to offer so I hope this helps.

Our house is about 2800 sq ft. in east Daphne.
All electric heating and cooling.
Built in 1999 and AC replaced in 2012.
Average electric bill for the last 12 months is $155.
Water bill around $30/month unless we get a dry summer month and have to water the lawn, then it can be over $100/month.

I know it's a bit late, but I appreciate the comments. It is helpful to me. We just moved to an apartment in Spanish Fort. The plan is to live here until we build.
