Anyone been to P.F. Chang's yet? It's never been a "must-visit" place for me, but I'm curious if it even comes close to living up to the hype. I think Grimaldi's will be the better of the two just by the nature and authenticity of what they are serving.

I have eaten recently at the P.F. Chang's in Metarie and still don't think the food is worth the prices they charge. I'll eventually try the one in Bel Air just for a little variety, but I can guarantee that it will be crazy for the next few weeks as everyone and their cousin's brother goes there. Then, like everything else, the foot traffic will die down as the novelty wears off.

Given it's price point and cuisine, I think Grimaldi's will be far more popular with the typical mall crowd.

I've eaten there (Bel
Air location) twice so far and I love it!!! I've had it before numerous times at the Metairie locations and Boston (first time) and was a fan ever since and was super excited about it coming to Mobile, and yes it's pricey but tasty Enoch to be wort it in my opinion. Combined with the reputable Grimaldi's (excited about too) this will give life and traffic to the mall. The novelty in the Metairie location has not worn out and neither will the one in Mobile. Try it for yourself and make up your own mind.

Support your local Asian restaurants. PF Changs is ok but overpriced.

Over a decade later, the PFC at the Summit in BHM is still hard to get into. It is not my favorite place, but to suggest it is not a very good restaurant is ingenuous. It certainly can't be compared to the average Chinese restaurants found in most cities which are frequently horrible. (the food does not sit in big pots all week long. ugh.)

Quality always cost a little more. Enjoy, Mobile.

Exactly!!! Some just hate on restaurants for merely being a chain or because it doesn't fill them up; I'm all for paying for quality, and PFC is among my favs (they give endless rice)!

It looks like Bama Fever/Tiger Pride is slowly closing their mall location.

"Average Chinese restaurant"

You must be talking about cheap Americanized fast food chinese places. Authentic Chinese cuisine places are frequently better and have better prices than PFC.

Look them up.

I saw that Earrings and Things is having a storewide clearance, and gather from some FB posts by the owner's wife that he is retiring, and they are closing. End of an era, for sure.

The Mobile PF is just as good as the other locations, I have been to. Now I must admit that Von's Bistro downtown on St.Michael st can give them a run for the money.
