I see cheap property and looked it up. Having lived in major cities not sure how this crime compares. I don't want to have children there but was thinking of buying some homes as an investment. Will anyone rent in that area or is it just a ghost town.

It's all life style affiliation.My Grandmother has lived on Petain street for 40 years now and has never experienced a break in.

Prichard isn't really the place most people look to rent a house tbh. You can find a steal in Midtown if you look in the right areas though. Basically all the property East of I-65, South of Springhill Ave, West of Broad, and North of Airport.
