With that being said since our house is located in Daphne, can anyone tell me what is going on over there? I know there are building retail stores but anything else?

If you or anyone is planning on living on the Eastern Shore.. 2 things you MUST keep in mind that no one will tell you.

#1. Location. Be sure you dont become a shmuck and buy a home in a seemingly good location, then in a year or two, about 1,000 people join ya and the main highway and streets to your home are constantly gridlocked.

#2. Sewer system. There are huge problems in rural parts of Baldwin County mainly in the Daphne, Spanish Fort area with people living on "strip" streets (where there is one street with a cul-de-sac and about 50 homes) and the idiot developers dont put in a large enough sewer or water pipe system. My brother whose a Fairhope attorney could tell you all the problems hes had with Mitchell and Adam homes for their failure to build "on the cheap".

Default metal shredder

can anyone help with information on metal recycling plant there that has a shredder? They are trying to put one of those behind my restaurant and I'm very unhappy about such a noisy, smelly, dirty neighbor. There will be a housing development less than a half mile away from it and they used Mobile/Chickasaw as the model of how good they are. It seems you have a lot of industry coming in and that's good, but I cannot see that a metal shredder plant would be a great employer for you. Can someone near this plant comment please on whether or not they are as clean and quiet as they say they are? Thank you.
