Nahh, its all over. One of Huntsville's auto supplier plants is closing and have 1200 being laid off.. so this is a large workforce already trained in automotive assembly line work, not to mention ALabama's site is better suited than the Tennessee one. |

Delphi is closing. Perhaps Huntsville is being used as a term for the generic area?

I think Delphi is now down to a couple of hundred...they might have had 1,200 when all 3 plants were open, but they haven't had that many in years.
"Generic Huntsville" - grr!! Explanation to others: Delphi is in Decatur, or at least on Decatur's edge, and in Limestone County (like Huntsville's, Decatur's city limits spread over 2 counties). It is NOT in Huntsville.Last edited by Southlander; 07-13-2008 at 10:01 PM. |
