That statement is way out of line. I grew up in Theodore, Al which is about 3 miles from Tillman's Corner. Yes I will admit that the Tillman's Corner area has went down some in the past 5 years but it is not as you make it out to be. My whole life I have heard people run down Theodore, Tillman's Corner area most of them have never even been here. The people down here are hard working folks who, would help a neighbor in need. The people around are nice to you if you are nice to them but if you ever cross some one from Theodore, Tillman's Corner you will see the bad side of the folks from here.

I recently moved to west Mobile (Dawes area) with my husband and 2 kids. We love the location and the schools are o.k. for public schools. We are close to everything that we need and we work in Mississippi so it takes us only 30 minutes to get there.

I live in west Mobile also, and it is a real nice area. We are actually trying to move back to Houston to be around family, and have our home FSBO. I have sent you a private message about it crew340.

I lived there for 42 years. It is the most redneck area in Mobile. Ok if you go to Wal-mart in curlers and flipflops. It is Ok for men to wear their hat inside anywhere there. Mama's can wear their mum-mums....Would I move back? Never...........Eastern Shore for me........................

Mr. crabb, I'm assuming they mean a moo-moo, which is a rather large, one size fits all, dress or some folks in the south also call them dusters. Older women wear them around the house and some people apparently wear them out in public.
About Tillman's Corner. We go to Theodore once a year for something to do with my husband's work, and we stay in Tillman's Corner. To me it appears to have a large Hispanic population. Was it just me or do others percieve this also.

Never noticed that, to be honest. Interesting though.
Did notice a lot of whites, not of the best variety .
