Baldwin county school opinions....
I just looked at the report cards for all of Baldwin County high schools. It looks as if Summersdales, Fairhope and Gulf Shores is best when looking at the weapons, assaults, durg issues. Can anyone give me more info on that?

My sister's children (including foster children) went to Summderdale schools. She was happy with them and they all did very well. I know they changed the schools zones for one school recently and she was not happy about the change.

I looked at the reports more. I think we will either move into the Robertsdale High school area (best report), or Gulf Shores area (where I would like to be) depending on where my husband works.

If you are looking for a good public school, stick with Gulf Shores. I live in Summerdale and my kids are in private school. My husband and I youth pastored several teens that attended Robertsdale High and various middle schools up this way. I would not put my children there. Not for educational reasons, but social. PM me if you would like to know more.

My nieces who live in Summerdale all went to public HS and one just graduated last year. She had no problems and is now working and going to college.

Are you only interested in Public Schools? Bayside Academy is also a great choice if you're in the Daphne/Fairhope area.

I do some volunteer work where I come into contact with students from Baldwin county. You get to see what are the not-so-great schools.
I wouldn't put mine at any of the "interior" county schools. They seem undisciplined, even somewhat unkempt. Just a little rough. Not horrible, but I don't want my kids there, and I've been in Mobile schools that are better. Stick with Daphne or Fairhope. A lot are putting their children in at Bayside Academy (private) even from Daphne & Fairhope, which is telling you something.
Good luck.
