Default Primitive Camping Sites

My husband and I are living in Mobile and want to camp for our 7 year anniversary. We have looked at dozens of campsites online but we really want to find out about is a very private, primitive site that only locals might know about. We are willing to drive 3-4 hours north, west or east.

If you know of some PLEASE let us know. Thanks!

Little River State Park has good camping sites and a lake. It's not very far from I-65 north of Atmore. We have family reunions there and always have a good time.

Little River State Forest

There is also Blakeley State Park north of Spanish Fort on hwy 225.

You might like Old St. Stephens just a little past McIntosh, AL. We no longer live in Mobile but truly loved this place to primitive camp. There is a place to the right shortly after you come in to the park that sits close to the water.
