Dear CMM1959, I wish I could say that I personally know these people, but I only know of them through my friend who is their agent. Sorry!

Well there's two ways that I can think of.
1) You can take Moffat to I-65 and then go north to the Hwy 43 exit
2) You can turn left onto Bear Fork Rd, then turn left onto Shelton Beach Rd, and then turn right onto 158 (Industrial Pkwy in Saraland). Then that would take you to hwy 43.
Still seems easier to live in Satsuma or Saraland to me. Shelton Beach Rd is a curvy two lane road that you cannot pass on, it also goes through some kinda sketchy areas.

Saraland /Satsuma will be the best area it is a small area but has small shops and WalMart,Sears and 3 other grocery stores. It is less than 2 min from the new ThyssenKrupp steel mill stright shot. But the best thing is with all the new growth that will be coming due to the ThyssenKrupp it will appreciate fast because alot of people underestimate the North Mobile area. I Moderator cut: .. live in Saraland and Spanish Trace,Vaughans are nice areas. But the best is that it is a family city baseball and soccer, cheerleaing and has 3 parks that have swings tennis courts and ect.

If you are looking for less than a 30 minute commute to Thyssenkrupp while still being close enough to Mobile for shopping/theatres/restraunts etc...then Saraland Satsuma, or Creola will be the best locations.
The issue is that Tkrupp is in Calvert, that is about a softball throw away from Washington county. The only way to get there is to go up HWY 43.
150000 will get you a decent home in Satsuma in the Vaughan's Palisades neighborhood or behind Satsuma high school.
Both of those neighborhoods are very safe. My mother has lived in the Vaughan's area for the past 15 years.
Saraland is undergoing some pretty significant economic development currently with a Lowe's and other shopping centers being built. They also are supposedly building that new race track in Saraland as well.
Spanish Trace is very similar to Vaughn's Palisades in terms of age of homes, safety, price.
Either one of the two cities school districts are as good as it gets in Mobile county.
Hope this helps

I would guess the commute from W. Mobile to Thyssenkrupp would be minimum of 45 minutes. It will take 15 or 20 minutes just to get to saraland and then another 20-30 from there to get to TKrupp

I would not go any farther North than Satsuma unless you are looking for areas of lesser income. There is no way I would live in Baldwin County or West mobile and have to make that drive.

My personal opinion would be Saraland and out Celeste Road. There are several nice Subdivisions Such as Twin Lakes, Willow Walk and Charlston Ridge. You can also take Radcliff Road off of Celeste and miss a ton of traffic in the mornings if you are going to the TK. mill
