Satsuma is a great place to live. We moved here 4 yrs ago. It is a small community on the water - you will surely want a boat!! It is very safe with a very honest and reliable police department. Satsuma has the highest income per capita in all of Mobile, mainly due to the people who live here are hard workers that bring in good income. With the newly Elected Mayor and New City Council - Satsuma seems to becoming more progressive. There are a few parks. Our children were your chidrens ages when we moved here. The main park off 43 is very shady and has fairly new equipment. The Tennis Courts have been redone since our tenure. There is also a park at Steele Creek where kids can fish, feed the ducks and explore. Anyplace here is a good location. You will find the price range you can afford is your neighborhood.

The school systems? Remember you are in Alabama - nowhere close to what you are used to. However, Satsuma is the Better "public" system in the area simply because so many local parents work in the system.

Comparing Satsuma to Saraland is like comparing two third world contries. I am so glad we choose Satsuma and NOT to move to the Saraland/Celeste Road area. It is highly congested with only two lanes. Getting on and off the interstate there is hazardous, going in and out of a neighborhood is horendous. Overall the property value holds in the laid back City of Satsuma.
