I just finished going through the 4 week training classes there. It's fairly simple and basic things. If you have any specific questions let me know.
As far as making an impression at orientation, don't bother. you won't be seeing those people again and they are not going to make notes on a hand full of the hundreds of people that they present that material too on a weekly basis.
Just do well in the classes and be a team player and you will be alright.

It took about 3 or 4 weeks. Things seem to move along at different paces for different people. My cousin is taking longer than mine and a friend of mine is taking about the same as mine.
The wages you quoted are for machine operator. Maintenance is a little more around 19-29 i believe.

thanks
My interview was mar 31 I was just curious. On the wages I think what I was wanting to know if that was the actual wage or if it was the wage plus benefits package. I applied for production. I'll probably hit you up for info on your 32\40 hour classes if its not a problem.

Wage is /hour plus benefits package. Good Blue cross blue sheild health /dental, 401k, vacation.
The classes are fairly easy and basic. Mostly common sense, Basic math, basic reading comprehension, Precision measurements, saftey, team building, computer skills and basic metallurgy.
Let me know if you have any specific questions and I'll do my best to answer.
Good luck with the Job.

Final interview Thyssenkrupp
I just completed my T.K. interview, which followed one month after my completion of the training classes . I would like to hear from anyone, who has already had a formal job offer on how long it took to get the offer after being interviewed by T.K.
Thanks

I see on al.com that the steel side of TK might postpone start-up by 3 to 6 months.Anybody else hear anything?
