Here is a neat website with a lot of pics that should bring back memories.. Well they did for me

Downtown Mobile Alliance > Explore Downtown (http://www.downtownmobile.org/ex_walkingtour.php#16 - broken link)

I just ran into some info about your globe keeper ! It was originally in the Wateman Building on St. Joseph Street.

Yep.. that was it.. I thought I remembered something about water but wasn't sure what, for some reason I was thinking shipping. I don't remember the globe ever being in the Saenger but then I left Mobile in the mid 60s

I still love coming 'home' and driving down Gov't blvd checking out all the big houses I love and always wanted to live in or at least go inside once.

Well try to plan your next trip with one of the Oakleigh tours. I toured an old Creole Cottage the other day downtown.

The sprit of the old City of Mystics is still going strong .I was downtown and areas of midtown today and still is amazed how Mobile`s past just blend so well with the present and future.
