chek2009 is on a distinguished road
There is only one small hosp. (I know of), in the SF area--Thomas Hosp. A very small facility and probably only PRN positions. However, driving across the bay back to Mobile, if you are looking for a full-time staff job, South is generally always hiring (pretty much). Mobile Infirmary is a large facility (an older facility caring for the older generation-where most of the geriatrics prefer to be treated-good reputable hosp--very busy and I hear that you work pretty hard.). There is also Springhill Hosp. a moderate-size hosp. Then, Providence (I hear they work pretty hard, too). However, you could drive a little further to Pensacola (about an hour--all interstate and no city traffic). Actuallly getting around in the city can take you 45 minutes to get local job so why not drive hour free of traffic? Get your license in Fla. and you can do agency. I could give you some referrals. The drive is not all that bad and you might have more flexibility travelling as agency fill-in.
