No word yet, but I have to consider the fact that I expressed a strong interest in the stainless side of the business to the HR rep, who happened to be from the stainless steel side of the business. I've worked in carbon steel before and would feel comfortable there, but would like to try something new and perhaps more challenging. It was a risk; I think I'll be called, but I'll be waiting awhile.

Hi Rott,I have a feeling that Stainless is going to call me too.The guy for stainless looked like he was impressed with my resume.I remember that the guy for stainlees was going to send us a postcard in November or December. Is this the story you got, too? Also, did you hear TK was going to delay Stainless again?

I haven't heard anything about a delay. Can you cite a web page with the information?

I don't recall him saying anything about a postcard, but he did say that he'd try to get me some feedback in 4-6 weeks (after the first interview), which was Oct 27th. For me, that was only 3 weeks ago.

I'm staying occupied with classes through the University of Phoenix Online. As long as the unemployment benefits keep getting extended, I can hold out.

They told us stainless was about a year behind carbon. They say carbon is going to start production in about 6 monthes. I don't see it happening...

I wonder if I made a serious mistake. Well, if TK is forced to wait as long as two years, I'll have to apply to all the other steel companies out there and hope for the best. I like the company, but I can't sit here without the ability to cover the needs of my family for 2 years.
