cmm1959...I was told that it would be mid to end of summer. I have to do background check, physical, drug test...all the things one has to do for employment however I do not see any problem with completing those. And to be honest, I didn't even ask stainless or steel, I was just surprized and then nervous whle talking. I am anxious to here all the details of the position, it is in the Finishing Line Area. On another note, I live in Pensacola, FL so I have a lot of decisions to make like where I'm going to stay while working there...because I plan on coming home on my days off.

Justntime - get an RV. You can live in it while working, travel in it while off, and take tax deductions for the mortgage. "Second homes" can qualify if they have bathrooms and bedrooms. But talk to a tax adviser before doing that; it's better to be safe than sorry.

I have been looking into that option also. It would be nice though to find a place that I could split rent with someone and share a place with, maybe someone on the opposite days off.

05shelby, TK has hired some people with previous crane experience to be overhead crane operators. In other cases they are hiring people and training them to be crane operators. Sounds like it might depend on the area.

Hey Brad,

Does this mean you were able to track your file to the Stainless side?

All I know for certain is what Motherbear33 posted on February 19th (post #293) when she wrote: They said that they were only going to hire 50 people between now and Oct. and up to 400 more in the next 4 years.

It's been several months since that post; I have to presume nothing's changed. has anybody heard anything new?
