Yeah the guy from stainless that I talked to was really nice and that is what he said sometime around then. I would like the stainless side, cold mill, hot strip or finishing but all of my experience is not those departments. That would be good if they called you for the stainless side.
I just did not understand his line of questioning it was totally off the wall and did not make any sense what so ever. I am not sure it was just so unusual its hard to put my finger on it. It was so unusual it made me wonder about that department altogether.

Yeah its crazy. I just believe they are going to miss a lot of good workers with this because within a year people may find a job elsewhere. I am just not sure about this AIDT stuff I guess it helps but I think it could be modified slightly for instance I know several people including myself who were laid off from but yet had to drive 300 miles twice before the classes then had to get a hotel and stay 4 nights then back for my first interview and luckily I had moved down here for my second interview. I just believe a lot of people have spent money for this opportunity and they could never be called or it may be a year or so from now. Some of those steps could have handled over the phone.

Has there been any new hiring latley? I haven't seen anything since the first hourly employee was hired (breaking news) the first week of June. Does anyone know how they notify people if they are hired?

They said it would be by phone but not sure. The last I heard they were starting to hire. I was told they would hire first the first group of like operator- Maint. people for the hot strip first because they will be the first on the carbon steel side to start running then hire for cold mill etc. stretched out over the next year and the entry level workers will be hired right before the mill actually starts.

The only way to be hired without the training, is to be hired salary not hourly.
