Default Daylight Donuts !!!

I was in the Daphne area today and decided to stop by the new Daylight Donut spot and they are good !!! I only tasted the original glazed and it was just as good as Krispy Kreme.

I just had one for dessert. I love the coconut ones, but so far, all I've had are great. The maple glazed is awesome.

Guess I'll have to try it. That's gona be sad if Krispy Kreme goes under (having financial troubles), but if Daylight's are good, than bring them on. Who knows, maybe they would take the current Krispy Kreme locaton if they leave?

I`m going to try that next time, hey I was in your area today Humacaena.

What a vibrant downtown for a city of Fairhope size and to be a Monday I was shocked at the number of people that were out. Just for a split second I almost forgot where I was.

I belive that the heart of every city is the downtown and it`s very important to have a well kept vibrant downtown. So to your city for having such. I`m a big advocate of downtown development and restoration.

I believe Krispy Kreme will do exactly what Star Bucks did. They will only close low performing locations.Krispy Kreme is doing well in the Mobile area, but Daylight can give them a run for there money.

Haha, I'm sorry. It's not that I WANT Krispey Kreme to leave. I was just saying, if worse comes to worse, that we could still have access to donuts in a familiar place. That reminds me, I noticed just the other day how you can tell where all the old Krispey Kremes used to be. One is Marble Slab, one is a financing place or something, it's kind of funny. It is a lot like the Pizza Huts, they built them all the same and now you can tell where they used to be (the Mexican restaraunt on DIP, for example).

Had one this weekend in Orange Beach...mmmmm.
I wouldn't say they're as good as Krispey Kremes (correct, that's blasphemous!). They're a little heavier - hey, it's hard to beat a HotNow.

But they're really are VERY good!

Port City,
Yes, downtown Fairhope is pretty nice. There are a lot of empty stores though, sign of the times. We hope they will fill back up. The new Hampton Inn is quite pretty, the Museum is worth seeing, our amazing and expensive Library is great...and we are now acquiring quite a few good places to eat.

Tamara's Uptown took the space where Colony Grill was, very nice and worth checking out. Down the same street, Section, we have Buck's(Southern),Valenti's(Italian), Master Joe's (super sushi), around the corner, McSherry's, Irish Pub...and all withing walking distance from each other. Friday night the town comes alive, specially Art Walk night. We thing Fairhope is the best place around!!!
