Yes. I think I might be repeating myself from a thread about a month ago ... but Bachelors (04') and Masters (08') in EDU and ISD respectively. I loved it at USA.

I really love it here. I live in west Mobile, the suburbs I guess. The traffic can get a little bad during the rush hours. The county has done a good job keeping up with population growth/shift to help alleviate traffic issues in the form of road construction and repair and widening. A lot of this is going on currently, but it always moves remarkably fast. Alabama is a right to work state, so unions done stretch out these projects longer than necessary. For recreation, Gulf Shores is about 1.5 hrs away with first class beaches in addition to Dauphin Island which is much closer, but a smaller place. We have fishing (fresh water, salt water, and inshore) and hunting. There is drag strip and a round track for round track racing. There used to be plenty of job opportunities, but its been rough around here in the last 6 months. I have lived in Florida, Texas, California, Seattle, and another small town in Bama. Mobile is my home. My family and I will be here for the rest of our lives, God willing.

I would say more like 45 minutes, maybe an hour.

It'd be less for me since I tend to go a bit fast :P
Anyhow, I filled out my application to USA and now I gotta send in my transcripts.
Is it easy to find a simple PT job in Mobile? I know the economy's bad at some places, but I'd need something to establish myself first before I try to get career experience.
I don't think I want to transfer with my current job since it sucks.

What kind of job are you looking for? I mean, you can always find something at a restaurant or fast food place or something like that.

That shouldn't be a problem. I'm pretty sure the Foosackly's (chicken finger place) up the street is still looking for someone, and I just saw that the soon to be open Mama Goldberg's Deli is hiring- just to name a couple of the top of my head, not saying those are the only options. Also, now that school is starting back, places will probably be looking for people to replace all the kids who just quit because of school/college.

He lives in West Mobile. 45 minutes from downtown (assuming no traffic on the Bayway). Don't you just love us current non-Mobilians sticking our nose in?

Oh, West Mobile. Well, that's a whole other game right there.
BAMACRUSADER, being so far from downtown, do you ever go or keep up with the goings on?
