I am an older single women with a walking disability? I walk like a snail on sleeping pills so I could not outrun anything. I love the diversity and the friendly people that are described in this forum. Also, I understand Publix is not there yet. Are there grocery stores or health fool stores in the area that sell organic food including organic produce? I drive, but I do not relish the thought of driving through unsafe neighborhoods.

Yes, I have never felt unsafe in Midtown. Hopefully Publix is on their way. We have Fresh Market, and Virginia's Health Foods- both in Midtown. There is also the Market on the Square downtown on Saturday mornings in the summer. Much of the fresh, local produce is organic.
