Default West Mobile
I am going to be moving to Mobile soon and would like advice on picking a neighborhood. I am going to be attending U of South Alabama. I am married with 3 kids so am looking for a family friendly neighborhood. The three areas I am looking at the most right now are Tillman's Corner, the area directly west of the airport, and University Park, the area directly East of USA. Any comments/suggestions about these areas?

UP = crime
W. Of the airport is about a 7 mile commute to USA but has the better schols and living conditions.

Have you looked at the Spring Hill area at all? West of the airport is fine but so far out for me.

I have to say the previous poster is right on.
