to close to Baltimore
Im currently in Bowie....This place is way too conjested and the air is horrible... The entire time I've been here I've only been to Baltimore once...
I don't listen to the news anymore. Too depressing with the homocide rate!
How long were you there?

I lived in Baltimore for about two years. And supposedly the homicide rate was less then than it is now... so things are getting worse. Never been to Bowie though.

I really would like to move before fall/winter sets in since I'll be driving out there. Any tips on getting employments as an outsider? Anyone??
Compared to DC's 256 homocides about 3 years ago,there were only 133 in 2006.
DC's population is under a million...

Baltimore's is around 300. Which makes more people are murdered in Bmore over the course of a decade than the population of Hamilton, MT. That's depressing.
Anyway, have you tried looking at jobs with the federal and state governments? They legally cannot descriminate you simply for being out-of-state, supposedly...

We were brave, however, we do have family here and we came with a some money in the bank for backup.

there are jobs around, people in this state are flaky and if you see a job in the paper it could take months for anyone to call for an interview. Even low paying jobs are hard to get sometimes. if you get lucky you could land a job...
