Oh, i totally agree with you,I just wish people would stand up to the garbage and all the trouble makers would eventually give up because the amount of good people in this country far outnumber the bad.Infact i was part of it a week ago here in phoenix and it was great to se i wasnt alone.
A car turned on a red turn arrow and slammed into a car and he guy jumped out of the car and took off running down the street.
Well needless to say he only got about 1/2 a block from the accident where when the cops got there about 15 people were around the guy with him sitting there waiting. He was drunk off his butt.I wish more people would react to bad situations more like that.

I don't know if all of the problems listed will take off in MT, drive bys are hard to do on snow and ice, not to mention there are more guns per capita here than most other places in the U.S. and these people know how to shoot back up to at least 100 yards or more. The weather plays a big role here IMO stiffling most serious crime as well as a low population and lower median wealth. Some of these things may change with the influx of people but if we can keep pressure on the justice(?) system to do their jobs we may be ok. As for the statement:

"Wow. What y'all are saying is that it's simply a fact that non-whites are the root of all the nation's problems and that there's nothing wrong with wanting to get as far away from non-whites as possible? But that's not bigotry. Of course not."

Definition or Meaning of bigotry (noun)
stubborn intolerance.

That being said maybe you're right, I am stubbornly intolerant of the wave of illegal immigration taking hold of our nation. We definately need immigrants to add diversity to our culture not take it over and from now on that is all I will say on bigotry.

Smile lend a hand

We need to help the justice system and the officers who police our streets, they cant protect or see everything that is wrong. If you see something thats definitely detrimental to society step up and say something not"oh well it wasnt done to me".Help thy neighbor and you shall be always considered a good neighbor and not the person that watched.

Look, you pay taxes wherever you live. If you have a problem with that you should run from the law and live in the hills. And I hope you realize LOTS of white folk, including those here in Montana, are on the dole.

Well now you're ruining North Carolina!!!

It's hard to fix a problem when one or a society isn't allowed to discuss or address it in fact, and when skirting around the issuse is the order of the day, or to put it bluntly when society wants to wear blinders to the problem, AND now I will give you a perfect example of what I mean.........someone just a few posts back wrote ...."RICH WHITE PEOPLE", used in the context that they are the root of all evil, and that is all just part of our discussion and allowed to be said, talked about and disputed.....now reverse those words...and a disscusion of that topic would get your thrown off of this forum, it wouldn't suprise me if it gets this post deleted......of course when you reverse those words you get "POOR BLACK PEOPLE", and the discussion is that they are the root of all evil..........and even to suggest such a thing is not tollerated in our politcally correct society even though the opposite is allow and even encouraged.
And before anyone jumps to any conclusion as is the way these days where everyone has a hair trigger when it comes to race and political correctness issues...............I"M NOT A RACISIT - I'm just pointing out the inconsistancies and hipocracies in a philosophical why and our social views on the topic. As a society will never get to the truth of the matter if we are prevented from talking about the whole problem.
Let's put it this way, non-whites may have very good reasons for disliking white people. BUT the opposite is also true.....and that 'opposite' is never allowed to enter the conversation, to do so immediately get's you labeled - Bigot. So is it no wonder that our society is deteriorating on the surface when it is deteriorating in the spirit, where the truth or an open discussion are prevented from happening, and while those restriction have started out as simply solical pressures, they are now moving into actual law, ie hate crimes, our country is rotting from within, it should be no wonder that we allow the rot to manifest itself on the surface to - ie. our cities. The degregation we see is only a reflection of what the american soul has become. But to discuss such issues is not tolerated.....I think we were given this warning many times over in the past by authors and philosophers alike.....it is now coming to pass.

I don't object to paying taxes, that's the rule of living in this country. I'm just tired of more and more people deciding it's easier to feed off the government cow rather than contributing to it's upkeep. We in California have more and more people coming into our state without any means of a support/family system, job, or place to live. But you better bet they get all the emergency $, food, health care and shelter they desire, while the working poor get nothing, no help, they must struggle......and that transcends ALL races and nationalities including whites. I work in health care.......

It's not a white vs nonwhite issue for me..........it's lazy vs industrious, law abiding vs law breakers, respect vs disrespect for other people's property regardless of race, creed, religion.

Without arguing about whether people on welfare are just lazy, I will just point out that people are on welfare in Montana. We have such a small population that the numbers are low, but we're also a very poor state and I'd be curious to see percentage-wise what the numbers are. I'd look 'em up myself but I gotta run. If no one has when I get a chance to come back I'll look. By welfare I include all public assistance.

By the way, when I was growing up my mom, who was a single mom who had just escaped a physically abusive relationship, depended on food stamps to help feed and support us. She was not lazy and worked her BUTT OFF to make ends meet. She worked full time and cared for the kids. It wasn't enough. Her story isn't unique.

OK, assuming I did my math right, close to 20% of Montanans receive public assistance

http://virtual.state.mt.us/statistic...004/table1.pdf

I can't find comparable statistics for California but the wise internet suggests it may be closer to a third in California, so that's more than Montana. But the difference is by no means staggering.

Pardon me if I'm way off base, but I think the reason people sometimes percieve a big difference is because there's a great assumption that non-whites receive public assistance (because statistically non-whites are poorer than whites) and since there are very few non-whites in Montana there must be very few who receive public assistance. This assumption is unfortunate considering our state ranks among the deep south in terms of poverty.

Anyhow, I'm not really trying to be argumentative just trying to point out that if you look deeper behind the "excuses" for why you need to flee whatever "socialist" state you come from, you may find your beliefs are actually prejudices. We all have them, I'm not being holier than thou and claiming to be perfect, but I at least try to challenge my assumptions and view the world with an open mind.
