When the moon hits your eye like a huckleberry pie, that's amore.
When the world seem to shine you cuz you've had too much wine that's amore.
The boys they may sting dingaling dingaling,
and you'll sing "Vita Bella".
Parts will play dippy-dippy-hay
with a gay hairy fella that's Amore.

I better stop "Yanking the Vic" out of this nice song and get back on track talking about huckleberries. I could really do a number on that and any other song if unleashed !

Huckleberry pie is one of my favorites but a mixed berry pie is great too.

More familiar with salmon berries and huckleberries.
We never picked any of those other berries, but we figured how you told it was actually summer was when you went up around Lincoln to pick chokecherries.

Chokecherries are fairly hardy so long as they don't get summer-scorched. I had some in my yard in Bozeman, along with wild plums and "transparent apples" (yicch -- I used to sell those for a couple bucks a bag to people who liked 'em for pies). Chokecherries are most often seen as a big bush but can grow into a tree big enough to climb!
