Pickle Barrel Fiasco!
Okay. How many of you remember the whole Pickle Barrel debacle when the owner of the place got yelled at for refusing service to an Arab student??
[waits for hands to be raised]
Okay. Cool.
Now how many of you feel that this was justified??
I was so mad at all the people who yelled at the Pickle Barrel and condemned the owner and all the other people involved for "racial profiling." What a joke! This guy was totally inebriated and yelled at the manager! What was he supposed to do?
I'm just interested in knowing if I'm the only one out there who thinks the liberal element on campus is being carried a bit too far.

This type of question should be in the political forum, if I am not mistaken city-data is generally for asking and answering questions about the areas you are interested in.

Yeah, but no one outside of Missoula knows that it happened.

Hey there now...... I'm in Great Falls, and it was all over the news here.
I wouldn't care if the guy was green with purple stripes..... any idiot that does what this guy did, needs to see what the door looks like.... up close and personal.
The Pickle Barrel did good in ejecting the idiot...... Liberal, Conservative or otherwise..... Show him the door.
And yes..... one of the reasons why I left Missoula was because I got pretty tired of listening to all of those daisey-do-gooder bleeding hearts at the university...
Go Grizz.... ya right..... heh heh....

haha, sorry, no offense meant!!
It just seems to me like it was totally fair, and yet the whole city jumped on the guy for kicking the student out. Everyone's running around yelling "YOU DID IT B/C HE'S ARAB!!" and the ones of us with any sense at all can't do anything about it.
Sometimes I love it here, and sometimes I want to slap people.

Now,now giftshoppe, it isn't nice to pick on the MT bastion of left wing ideology by calling them mean names. They know not what they do...... As for the pickle barrel, don't you know the customer is ALWAYS right?

I'm looking for some information on Missolula. I am considering relocation. From the photos I've seen it looks pretty interesting. I'm looking for a quiet town, with friendly people, low crime, family oriented and is NOT being taken over by big developers. I need to see open land, blue sky's, and stars at night. If Missolusa doesn't fit my description, could you please make some suggestions?
Thanks for your help.

heh heh.... those youngsters over there will get it right one of these days...
I guess you are right though..... I mean, liberal wanna-be's need to have someplace to land, and it might as well be Missoula.... since the real liberals on the coast don't want 'em...
