This smoker is pretty good sized, you could put a whole turkey in it. How thick do you slice the meat to make the jerky come out good? I gotta ask my butcher friend what he uses on his, it comes out about the best I ever ate. He just makes it in the oven at home.
I use a meat slicer and cut it just under a quarter inch thick. I just marinate meat in my salsa. Put it in a tupperwear container and pour a jar or two of salsa on it. Add some seasoning salt and smoke flavor. Then every time you go past the fridge, shake up the container. I marinate it for 3 days before I put it in the dehydrater. Then it takes about 6 hours in the dehydrater because I keep the temp low. I have made it in the oven and I set the oven on the lowest temp possible and put a jar lid in the door to hold it open about a half inch. That's because even with the lowest temp the oven will bake it instead of dry it. Just doesn't come out the same when baked.

All my camping stuff is small propane bottles. But there is only me so the one burner is all I need. Here's a picture. Coleman 1 Burner Propane Stove Customer Ratings & Reviews - Top & Best Rated Products - Walmart

I also have a heater that is 15,000 btu that takes the little bottles. It will run you out of a 8x16 wall tent and a little bottle will last about 8 hours when it's 0 degrees or colder.

Wow indeed! That'd be a tough game in the big leagues!

Beautiful pictures. Montana is so nice, no graffiti that I have seen since I moved here.
