Well, I got my denial letter from SSI.
Their reasoning was...
"Your medical reports show you have some limitations from your breathing problems and arthritis. However, your condition does not qualify you for benefits at this time.
We find that you are capable of doing work NOT requiring any heavy lifting or standing and walking more than 3 hours a day."

A friend that works up at the local gas pump said.. WTH!? No one is going to hire you with those limitations.
I said what do they want me to do? Become a hooker????
Another friend says.. NOPE that wont work either.. because you'd be walking the streets and standing on corners for more than 3 hours a day! LOLOL

I'm going to make an appointment with my doc and have her write a letter. And I am going to file an appeal. If they turn down the appeal I will get an attorney.

You may want to also go to state of Montana Vocational Rehabilitation, a counselor may be able to find a job for you with those parameters. They also help with Social Security determinations as well.

Coffee's on. Fresh ground and hot.

Woke up and started the coffee and the started weeding through all the text messages. I got 18 txt messages during the night.

I don't know if Montana does it, but WYODOT has a 511 Notify where you sign up and checkmark each road and stretch of road you want road advisories on. Then they will txt or email, or both to you. I got 18 of them due to the snowstorm we are having.

I determined that I am snowed in. haha. All roads, in every direction are currently listed as "No unnecessary travel, emergency vehicles only." Sounds like it might be a 2 coffee pot day.

I do need to start plowing snow, but that is going to wait, at least, until after the first pot. I do have my priorities.

I get the feeling that you may be joking a wee bit ? Considering your resourcefulness and determination, I'd bet you can get anyplace you please no matter what the weather

Perhaps it's the Coffee ??? and I bet your coffee blows away any thing found in town anyway ???
Oh I know, Now I'm thinking you have fun riding on a fun machine pushing snow around, I know I really enjoy pushing snow but we have no machine for that. The little snow that we get I move with a big old hand snow shovel. I enjoy the work but my back whines in it's own painful way !
Stay warm neighbor ~♥~

Well, pretty much you are right. If I can't get there in the 4 wheeler, my truck will make it.

I wrote that this morning, then ended up in an ambulance headed for the hospital. I was discharged at about 2. I come home and layed down for about an hour and then went out and plowed snow with the 4 wheeler. We got 20 inches of snow in the last 2 days. But, it's plowed.

......Come on Elk, be honest-----how old is that "good-lookin' female attendent in that ambulance? I'll bet you "just accidently" drop your pen on the floor.....just so she has to bend over to pick it up for you.

In all seriousness, I hope it isn't anything that will keep you "out of commission" for any length of time.

I was wondering about your recent weather and checked that Sheridan site: (sheridanweather.vcn.com)......
really a very complete and detailed site.

How's Timber doing in this weather? If she's like my Rex........the doggie bed in the utility room is getting about 20% more than normal use.

Stay safe.............................................. .....Griz

Oh, I'm fine. Every now and then my pancreas decides to produce insulin after I have already taken some. I measured at 102, ate breakfast and about 20 minutes later my blood sugar was 60. I started eating everything from peanut butter on toast, to candy bar and after 15 minutes it wa 55. Crap, more food and after 15 minutes I was at 50. I kept eating and kept measuring and when I hit 30's I called the meat wagon. Nothing was helping. By the time the ambulance got here I had started to rise, but only to 40. So they monitored me for about 30 minutes and it varied from 38-44, back and forth. Finally I said, "Let's go to town." Couple hours in the hosptial tuned me right up, but I'll tell you that really wipes a person out. Feel pretty good today. Tired, but was up and at em at about 6.

Ambulance had 2 guys in it. Just my luck.
