Poached egg on toast with margerine and juice. No bacon for me. I am up to about 4 ounces of. food for each meal. Bacon is no longer in the. equation. :-(

Well....maybe it was just wishful sniffing. Four ounces of food, Elk Hunter, somebody's trying to starve you? Napa is not the same as it was, Reziac. I remember Napa back in the 60's with all the vineyards yellow with wild mustard blooming and the one tired looking hamburger joint at the highway intersection. Now it's all high class, drive a Mercedes or don't talk to me, very expensive restaurants, who are all these people anyway? Were they all here back in the day and just got uppity? So much of the California I remember growing up is gone now.

Zach and I made some homemade sausage about a month ago. Not quite country sausage- it has a lot of herbs and spices and lower salt.
It's really good! We had that yesterday morning then mixed the rest up with some ground venison and we're having chili tonight

Yeah, I lived in SoCal from 1984-2012, and the changes are ... insane. When I moved there, there were still cattle in the San Fernando Valley!!
Then again, when I moved back here, I found Belgrade had grown stoplights. And the barely-a-goat-track I once lived on is now a four-lane road!!

Reziac I'd take the earthquake for the rain too. I've been spoiled by the beautiful summer, and while the cool air doesn't bother me, I'm more than ready for sunshine! This is by far the most rain I've seen since moving here.
