Seven hasn't checked in lately. Hmmmmm. Either life is really good or the cat's got her tongue.

Is it warming up any on the Eastern side?

Started to warm up here, but we have snow forecast for the next 6 nights. Just when the mud was drying up.

Cold and rain here today. If the fog ever lifts I expect to see snow on yonder mountains again. What's for breakfast? I had the same old ham-and-cheese sandwich I usually have. Well, not quite the same one I had yesterday

You are right about the spring 'tease' for MT, EH! More snow.....

Yep, Rez, we are having alot of wind with rain here and there......pretty chilly by the coast, too...

I am flying to Denver tomorrow...early....our house here is FINALLY in escrow, so I don't want to say too much for fear of Mr. Jinx....I will be glad when the 17-day thing is over and the inspection is done. We have to tent the house next week, replace some boards, repair a spot on the roof, have the boards painted.$$$....right now, we are gathering our meds and food, etc....it either has to be double-bagged with special bags the termite guy provided or else put in my car (which will remain here)...... STuff in fridges has to be bagged, (and then replaced), too....this is a real pain!

No, no it is work, school, repeat.... I just feel guilty if I am goofing off and visiting. But soon I will be done for this year..
Well it warmed up enough to melt off the snow from the roof but you know tomorrow we are going to get hammered again, and not the fun kind.. I love the stock up suggestion EH on the weather warning. LOL.
I am certainly ready for this winter to be over. I have been making clean out the fridge/freezer soup all weekend.
Hellos to all, I am here just trying to keep body and mind together. Hey I found out the GVB is playing at the Host fest this year but I bet I will be in school that weekend

They don't often give that Prepardness suggestion unless they are thinking a "Major" event. Matter of fact, the last time I saw that, we got 37 inches of wet, heavy snow in a 36 hour period.

Horses are fed, ice is busted in the tank.

Coffee's on. This morning it's grits, eggs sunny side up, bacon, and toast.

24 degrees, mostly cloudy.

Trying to prepare mentally for a trip to town later this week. Hate all that traffic. Will probably meet 3, maybe 4 cars in that 20 miles.

Here's hilarity from the California Department of Global Warming, which is on the ground this morning real solid down to 2600 feet (looks like they got it 3 or 4 feet deep in the nearest mountains):

Quote:
I-5 IS CLOSED FROM 3 MI NORTH OF THE JCT OF SR 126 /AT PARKER ROAD/
(LOS ANGELES CO) TO THE LOS ANGELES/KERN CO LINE /THE GRAPEVINE/ - DUE TO SNOW
- MOTORISTS ARE ADVISED TO USE AN ALTERNATE ROUTE

[IN THE CENTRAL CALIFORNIA AREA]
I-5 IS CLOSED FROM THE LOS ANGELES/KERN CO LINE TO 25 MI SOUTH OF BAKERSFIELD
/AT LAVAL ROAD/ (KERN CO) /THE GRAPEVINE/ - DUE TO SNOW - MOTORISTS ARE
ADVISED TO USE AN ALTERNATE ROUTE
My camera decided to quit speaking to the computer, and thinks its card is full (anyone got an xD card they don't want? Durn things have gone scarce and pricey), so I can't take pictures

I know that was really different and I do not think I have ever seen that one before.
