There should be a law against baby sitting your daughters house and dogs. Specially, in town.

I would have had coffee on early, like I always do. But it took me 45 minutes to find that the coffee is kept in the cupboard with the pots and pans. Oatmeal is in the cupboard above the plates. Bread is in the fridge, not the bread box.

In the fridge is an 18 count container of eggs. On top of it, are 3 eggs. Figuring those 3 must have been from the last container, they wanted to make room. WRONG! Those are hard boiled.

Coffee's ready, now for a cup. Let's see, they're not with the plates and bowls. Nope, not with drinking glasses. Here they are, on the shelf above the flour and sugar. I should have known that!

Measuring cups???? After 30 minutes, I just poured some oatmeal in my bowl, added milk til it looked about right, nuked it in the microwave. I don't need no stinking measuring cups.

In my cabin, turn on a burner and have bacon sizzling in 3 minutes. Here, there is a fancy ceramic top stove. Set it on 5 and bacon turns brown, but never sizzles. Took 15 mintes to turn brown. Only took another 15 minutes to make the omelette. In the cabin, I would have been finished eating 20 minutes ago.

Timber sat and watched quietly. I know she was giggling. The other two dogs decided it would be ok to get up on the bench and watch me eat. They only did that once. Now they won't come near me.

Well, just finished eating breakfast, better turn on the burner so I can eat lunch at a reasonable hour.

Northeast Montana braces for new storm
Dang, that's some seriously piled-higher-and-deeper global warming!!

Quote:
March in Glasgow was the 12th-coldest since record keeping began in the 1870s. But with an average temperature of 19.4 degrees, it was 11.2 degrees colder than normal. At Wolf Point, the March average was 18.9 degrees. In Billings, it was about 35 degrees -- less than 2 degrees lower than normal.
Like I' been sayin' ... ain't seen snow stick this late since the 1960s, and I do believe it's gone longer than the Big Winter of '68-'69 at that.

If you look at long-term historic temps, tho (I mean thousands or even millions of years, not just the short term like the global warming cult does) -- we've been at the peak of one of the regular warm periods, and are about to slide back down to another "little ice age". Maybe not in our lifetimes but it's coming, and soon on a geologic scale.

NOAA has put out a warning. With the upcoming storm, it's going to get drastically cold and that we should check on the elderly.

Yo, Rez, you doing ok?

Is there an HTML version? Their nasty PDF crashed Acrobat.

<later> Finally got the thing to load... holy crap. Four times normal snowfall. If this keeps up... in the future it might be a whole lot more economical to do the Siberian method and pack the snow on the roads, rather than trying to remove it (obviously a losing battle).

You gotta read this one; all is explained:
