And we're expecting snow, here? in April?? I think this calendar must be printed wrong!
Rez, it's got nothing to do with the calendar, so it must be due to all that glo-bull warming that the lefties in both our countries have been ranting and raving about!

I want to revise my last answer. It has now changed to "If it don't slow down or stop soon, I'm going to have to plow in the morning. Cause right now it's snowing hard.

This is perfect though. Spent several hours planting grass seed today.

Should have. haha

No snow on the ground. Sometime during the night it warmed up slightly. Ground was already warm so nothing was sticking. But there should have been snow on the grassy areas. Nothing. However, it did rain all night and it is a soup sandwich out there.

I am soaked and just trying to warm up righ tnow. Second cup of coffee in 10 minutes. We were going to bring in a load of gravel today but that's out. Put gravel on the mud and it disappears and makes you think you didn't put any gravel down.

If it stops raining, the plow is coming off and the wheels and tires are getting changed out on the 4 wheeler. Then it will snow.

Good morning to all, it's a lovely morning, a smattering of white sticking to the ground where yesterday I scampered planting bulbs, seeds etc.
Took a picture of a little bluebird staying out of the s....stuff. I guess I gotta clean house today,

Yeah, I've experienced the "magical vanishing gravel" myself. The mud just eats it, and never gets any shallower. Even if you're on top of rocks, the rocks just sink and the mud rises. It's magic, I tell you!

Try just filling the low spots with "Birdseye". It's about 1/4th the price of gravel because it's a waste product, halfway between pea gravel and sand (birdseye was $3/yard here, last I checked; next cheapest gravel was $12/yard.) But in my experience, once it's been wet and dry a few times, it sets up like concrete. [Don't use it where anything might eat off it, tho -- it'll get sand colic in a hurry.]
