Wishing you and yours a ziessen Pesach (PEH-sahkh, PAY-sahkh), a sweet Passover.

The 8-day Jewish Biblical Festival of Pesach (Ex. 12:14-20, 13:1-10 and Lev. 23:4-8), begins on the 15th day of Nissan and ends on the 22nd day of Nissan (that's the Babylonian 'Nissan', not the Japanese 'Nissan'), which this year, this will be from sundown, Monday, April 18, to sundown, Tuesday, April 26 on the civil calendar (in Israel, Pesach ends at sundown on Monday, April 25).

Named for the 'passing over' of the Angel of Death that slew the first born sons of the Egyptians, Pesach celebrates the liberation of the children of Israel from slavery in Egypt and the beginning of the Israelite, now Jewish people, and has been continuously celebrated for more than 3,300 years.

This morning, 3 inches of snow on the ground. Melted by 10. Kind of cleared up a little so I was going to pull the knob tires off the 4 wheeler and pull the blade. Then put the street tires on it. But when noon come around, it started snowing again.

Is anybody getting anything up North or me? OUr forecast calls for snow every day this week, except one.

It's got to be filled with trucks because half of this little town is up there driving truck. I know two trucking companies out of here have both secured shops. One has shops in both Williston and Tioga. The other company is in Stanley. The one in Williston has about 16 trucks and the one in Stanley has 6 or8. And you guessed it, they took all their drivers from here to work up there.

Got a few bugs crawling around this area..the Madison has some early hatches going. Heavy snow last night, about 6" stuck. Roads just slushy, and the sun is looking to see clear skies so it will run off pretty fast.

Hadn't snowed when I went to bed at 1am. I'm up at 6:30 and there is about 2 inches on the ground. This time it stuck on the streets a little bit.

But, like yesterday, it'll be melted off by noon. Although, yesterday it was 32 when I got up. THis morning, it's 25.6°F. It was 33°F at midnight.

Forecast for today says: Snow in the morning...then rain and snow in the afternoon. Snow accumulation around 1 inch. Highs in the upper 30s. North winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation 90 percent.

Ain't spring in the Rockies just great!

You know I never mind big rigs on the road. I always think they are the most experience. I try to give em room and when I can ride in the middle of a few. They are great at plowing out the road so you can tell where the heck you are in a blizzard.
I wish I know more about what they were hauling.
Seemed some tanker like trailers, some dirt/rock haulers, some just pulling these tan storage like tanks, and everyone busy, busy.
I went into Wally in Wiliston. Holy molly nothing but men!

Killed my first rattlesnake of the year last week... was sweeping dog hair out of the ditch behind the kennel and .. what's this, the hair is moving? Was a baby Mojave Green I was sweeping!! Just a button, didn't have a rattle yet (most dangerous kind of snake, the babies dump their whole load when they bite; adults only squirt about 10% of it). The shovel being ready to hand, the rattler is now part of my trophy case.

Need to go scrounge some gopher snakes, when I have plenty of them around I don't see so many rattlers.

But it did finally stop snowing!
